Our Meetings 

Meetings of the Marshfield Area Genealogy Group are regularly held at 7:00 p.m. on the fourth Thursday of each month at the Marshfield Public Library, except August (traditionally our group picnic) and November & December (no meetings.)

Each meeting features a special program planned to inform, educate and entertain members while helping them grow in their family research techniques.

2023 Meetings 

All meetings start at 6:30 p.m., unless otherwise noted, in the Felker Family Genealogy and Local History Room at the Everett Roehl Marshfield Public Library.

January 12th - No Meeting

February 25th - No Meeting

March 9th - “Show & Tell—What Have You Been Doing With 
     Your Genealogy Research During the Last Two Years” 
     Presenter: MAGG Members

April 13th - “Are You Ready for the Release of the 1950 Federal 
     Census?” With the release of the 1950 Federal Census on 
     April 1st, we’ll look at the type of information that we can use 
     in our genealogical research and some of the changes 
     between the release of this census and compared to those of 
     the past. Presenter: Vickie Schnitzler

May 24th - “The New Memories II Book”, presented by Don  
     Schnitzler.

June 22nd - “Migration Trails Across America” and 
     “Marshfield-opoly”. We will look at parts of Legacy’s  
     webinar and take a look at “Marshfield-opoly”.

July 27th -  “MAGG’s Summer Picnic”. We will meet at Hub-
     City Ice Cream, 1610 S. Central Ave. at 600 p.m. The 
     Schnitzlers will bring Brats & Hot Dogs, buns and 
     condiments. And the Witzels are furnishing dessert! 
     Everyone else is asked to bring a dish to pass.

August 29th - “North Wood County Historical Society MAGG’s 
     Summer Picnic” Rain Date. We will meet in the backyard at 
     the mansion at 6:00 p.m. Brats & Hot Dogs, buns and 
     condiments will be furnished. Everyone is asked to bring a 
     dish to pass.

September 28th - “The Norm Stoiber Collection”. Don  
     Schnitzler 
     will share some of the photo & clipping binders (automotive, 
     gas stations, grocery stores, and more) in the Norm Stoiber 
     collection which was recently donated to the Everett Roehl 
     Marshfield Public Library.

October 26th - TBA

November/December - No Meeting
